Farmers are empowered with improved and tailored agricultural advice and climate information, which enhances their decision-making process for greater food security. Businesses and NGO clients are also supported through a digital toolbox platform that helps them engage more effectively with their audience.
Project Scope
This project contributes to Jokalante’s goal of expanding its reach and impact by securing new partnerships and increasing market visibility.
Developing Jokalante's business strategy, targeting NGO, rural farmers co-op and microfinance institutions.
Conducting market research to identify potential partnerships and growth opportunities, analyse competitors.
Refining the organisation’s value proposition.
Creating a database of potential partners
Drafting funding proposals
Supporting the development of marketing materials.
Project Outcomes
To write a market research analysis report including: data on customer needs, industry trends, competitors, and market demand to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
To identify at least five potential partnerships aligned with Jokalante's growth strategy.
To draft two business proposals tailored to these potential partners.
To create one marketing presentation that clearly communicates Jokalante's value proposition.
Deliver weekly reports on time, with clear updates on progress toward meeting key milestones.
Internship Requirements
Research and Analysis: Strong research and analytical skills to conduct market research and analyse competitors.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to assist with drafting business and funding proposals.
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively to support the development of marketing materials and presentations.
Data Management: Proficiency in data management for creating and maintaining a database of potential partners.
Business Strategy: A proactive attitude towards refining business strategies and identifying potential growth opportunities in the NGO, rural farmers' co-op, and microfinance sectors.
