A BSc Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities with Foundation Year student, supported Women in Energy Sierra Leone Ltd.'s mission to ensure universal energy access and reduce energy dependency, contributing to a cleaner and more equitable future for Sierra Leone.

The Story of Women in Energy Sierra Leone Ltd.

Founded in 2020, Women in Energy Sierra Leone Ltd. is an organisation focused on:

Activities include training and opportunities for women to enhance economic and health outcomes while fostering community development.

The Opportunity

As a business development assistant at Women in Energy Sierra Leone Ltd., the student worked towards creating impactful presentations that enhanced the company's visibility and reputation.

Results 

Over eight weeks, the student and Women in Energy Sierra Leone Ltd.’s COO, Paul Kamara, collaborated online to: 

  • Conduct a secondary analysis of a community survey to gather further insights and refine strategic initiatives 

  • Identify trends and preferences within the community 

  • Identify areas of improving the company’s profile by making the message clearer, more compelling, and aligned more closely with Women in Energy’s mission 

These efforts increased visibility, encouraged deeper engagement through compelling storytelling and visuals, and fostered trust and credibility through transparency and impactful metrics.
