Fundraising Assistant – Reform Africa, Uganda
Organisation Description
Reform Africa Uganda is a social enterprise that transforms plastic waste into durable, sustainable products like bags, school accessories, and more. The organisation aims to address both waste management and environmental sustainability while empowering disadvantaged youth and women in Uganda through vocational training and job creation. Reform Africa seeks to create a cleaner environment while promoting social and economic development.
Project Scope
The Fundraising Assistant will support efforts to secure funding for Reform Africa's projects by researching potential donors and grants and assisting in the creation of fundraising materials.
Research and identify at least 10 potential donors (NGOs, foundations, or businesses) aligned with Reform Africa's mission.
Assist in drafting at least 3 grant applications for project funding.
Collaborate with the team to develop at least 2 fundraising campaign materials such as newsletters, social media posts, or email templates.
Support in the creation of a donor outreach strategy with clear timelines and goals for securing financial support.
Project Outcomes
Identified 10 potential donors or grant opportunities.
Drafted 3 grant applications for funding.
Developed 2 fundraising materials to be used across digital platforms.
Created a detailed donor outreach strategy for securing financial support.
Internship Requirements
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written communication skills, especially for grant writing.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with fundraising or non-profit work is a plus.
