Project Scope

  • The Fundraising Intern at TGED Foundation will play a vital role in enhancing our financial sustainability by contributing to fundraising initiatives and discovering new funding avenues.

  • Intern will assist in crafting persuasive fundraising content, researching potential donors, and supporting the preparation of grant proposals.

  • The intern will gain practical experience in nonprofit fundraising, directly supporting TGED Foundation’s mission to empower communities and promote sustainable environmental practices across Nigeria.

Project Outcomes

  • Draft at least three grant applications targeted at potential funders, aligning with TGED Foundation’s mission and programmes.

  • Research and compile a comprehensive list of at least twenty-five potential donor organisations or grant opportunities that align with our environmental initiatives.

  • Contribute to the development of at least two compelling fundraising materials, including newsletters and social media posts, to engage our supporters and broaden our donor base.

  • Assist in planning a small-scale fundraising event or online campaign, with clearly defined goals and measurable outcomes to support TGED Foundation’s community-led environmental projects.

Internship Requirements

  • Fundraising and Grant Writing Skills: Some experience or coursework in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit management is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Research Skills: Ability to conduct donor research and identify funding opportunities that align with TGED Foundation’s mission.

  • Writing and Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills for drafting grant proposals and fundraising materials. Ability to communicate TGED Foundation’s mission persuasively to potential funders.
